About the service

What is Private Chef in Aruba?

We are part of Aruba Your Way and arrange private meals at your accommodation in Aruba. Choose from relaxed Home Chef meals, menus prepared by professionally trained Private Chefs, and a separate Floating Board experience.

What is included in a private meal?

Shopping, cooking, serving and cleanup of the areas and items used for your meal are included. The chef cleans dishes, pots and counters, and sweeps or mops as needed, leaving the kitchen as it was received. Whole-house cleaning, tableware, rentals and special setup are separate. Floating Boards have their own inclusions.

What is the difference between Home Chef and Private Chef menus?

Home Chef menus are relaxed, home-cooked favorites: Taco Night, Classic Dinner and Classic Breakfast. Professionally trained Private Chefs prepare Barbecue Feast, Bali Hibachi Night, Premium Dinner, Deluxe Dinner, Chef’s Breakfast, Breakfast Feast and Brunch.

Will my meal look exactly like the website pictures?

The food and setting pictures are illustrations, so presentation, tableware and décor may differ. Your meal should match the written menu and arrangements confirmed for your booking. Please tell us if an agreed dish or service is missing or different.

Which parts of Aruba do you serve?

We serve all of Aruba, including San Nicolas and Seroe Colorado. Travel is included, with no location-based travel surcharge.

Can you cook at a villa, hotel, yacht or event venue?

Ordinary cooked meals need a suitable full kitchen at your villa, condo or apartment-style hotel unit. We do not use resort commercial kitchens or offer cooked meals on the beach. Yachts need a usable galley and charter permission; event venues need suitable facilities and outside-catering permission. Please contact us before booking those locations. Hibachi needs a chef-approved setup, Barbecue needs a working grill or an agreed alternative, and Floating Boards need neither a kitchen nor a pool.

Who arranges property permission and access for guests and the chef?

Please check your property’s outside-vendor, visitor and occupancy rules, obtain any necessary permission, and arrange access. Visiting friends may join if the property allows them. Let us know about passes, unusual access requirements or costs before booking.

Link to this answer
Do you offer grocery delivery or cook with ingredients I provide?

Groceries are included in a regular meal; grocery-only delivery is not offered. Ask in advance if you would like the chef to use your own ingredients, such as freshly caught fish. Acceptance depends on the chef’s assessment and does not automatically reduce the meal price. We can suggest another provider for grocery delivery.

Link to this answer
Which menu suits my occasion?

Deluxe Dinner is a good starting point for a romantic evening or celebration. Taco Night, Barbecue Feast, Hibachi, breakfast and brunch offer relaxed group options. Tell us your budget, preferences and occasion, and we can help you choose. Dietary suitability is confirmed separately with the chef.

Link to this answer
Can I request a particular chef for repeat visits?

Yes. We try to arrange the same chef where possible, but a specific person must be available for all your dates and menus before we can confirm them.

Link to this answer
Which languages can the team and chef use?

English is our standard service language. We can help with translated written messages and can check whether your assigned chef speaks another language. Tell us your needs in advance, especially for allergy information and important booking details.

Link to this answer
What will the chef wear?

Expect clean professional kitchen clothing, appropriate hair restraint and safe non-slip footwear. The exact outfit may differ from the website illustrations.

Link to this answer
Can I speak to the chef before the meal?

You may request direct contact after booking. Please keep any agreed changes to the menu, timing or price confirmed through our team as well.

Link to this answer
Can I request staff preferences or arrangements for privacy, culture or religion?

Please share practical preferences in advance, such as language, staff gender, private rooms, prayer times or footwear. We will check what the assigned chef can accommodate. Safe footwear and food hygiene remain necessary; clean indoor footwear may be possible. Certified halal or kosher requirements need a separate assessment.

Dates and planning

How early should I book, and can you accept last-minute requests?

Professional private chefs often book weeks or months ahead, so request early. Online requests need at least 24 hours’ notice. For a request inside 24 hours, contact us directly; it depends on chef availability and obtaining ingredients. Home Chef scheduling may be more flexible, but no last-minute booking is guaranteed.

Link to this answer
What serving times can I request?

Choose a preferred serving time in 15-minute increments, at least 24 hours ahead online. The earliest serving time is 7am and the latest dinner serving time is 9:30pm, subject to the menu and chef’s availability. Floating Board delivery is from 10am to 7pm. All times and deadlines use Aruba time, UTC−04:00. Rates do not change simply because of the serving time.

Link to this answer
How long is a quote valid, and when is my price secured?

A standard written quote is valid for seven calendar days, subject to availability. Supplier-priced upgrades may have a shorter stated expiry. A quote does not hold the date. Once availability is confirmed, the 50% deposit reserves the service and locks the accepted price for the unchanged booking. Future dates can be requested without a fixed maximum booking horizon; changes need a revised quote.

Link to this answer
When will I hear back about availability?

We aim to reply within 24 hours with an availability decision or a progress update. Your date is reserved only after chef availability is confirmed and the deposit has been successfully collected.

Link to this answer
Which dates have holiday surcharges?

For the 2026–2027 season, holiday surcharges apply on December 24, 25, 26 and 31, 2026, and January 1 and 2, 2027. The same dates apply each holiday season afterward. The base surcharge per service is $600 for a Private Chef dinner, $250 for a Private Chef breakfast, brunch or lunch, and $100 for a Home Chef service, plus 7% tax and 2% service fee. Floating Boards have no holiday surcharge. The surcharge is included in your quote; final booking totals are rounded to the nearest dollar. Existing accepted quotes and booking agreements keep their agreed prices.

Link to this answer
Can I arrange several meals or services at different properties?

Yes. We can plan multiple meals, dates and locations, with each service’s time, address, facilities and availability confirmed separately. Different menus may need different chefs. One chef throughout your stay may require a different menu and quote. Meal minimums and discounts do not automatically combine across services.

Link to this answer
Is there a cancellation list if my date is full?

Yes, our optional cancellation list is free and needs no deposit. Share your date, menu, party size, flexibility and email. We contact guests in joining order when a matching opening appears and give a written response deadline, normally 12 hours or a clearly stated shorter period for near-term openings. Joining is not a reservation. You can ask to leave at any time; the active entry ends after your requested date.

Link to this answer
How should I plan a meal around a flight or tour?

For arrival day, allow at least three hours between landing and the chef starting preparation. Allow at least one hour around a tour or surprise event. Tell us promptly about delays; a later service or another date may be possible, subject to availability. We cannot guarantee a flight or tour’s timing, and the agreed booking terms still apply.

Link to this answer
Is my selected time the chef’s arrival time or serving time?

It is your preferred serving time. The chef typically arrives about one hour earlier to prepare, and we confirm the actual arrival time for your menu and property.

Link to this answer
How long does a meal last, and can we choose the pace?

Service typically lasts up to two hours after serving begins. Three- and four-course dinners arrive in stages; shared meals such as Taco Night and Barbecue Feast are generally served together. Ask ahead about speeches, earlier children’s food or slower pacing. Extra service time is not automatically included.

Link to this answer
Does the chef come with a server or assistant?

Private Chefs usually work with a team of two or three, including a server or sous-chef. A Home Chef generally comes alone, with a helper arranged for larger groups when needed. Staffing and any extra labor are confirmed in your quote.

Link to this answer
What happens if we are not ready to eat on time?

Please tell us immediately. Food is prepared for the agreed serving time, so a delay can affect its quality, safe holding and the chef’s remaining service time. Extended waiting is subject to what the chef can accommodate.

Link to this answer
What should I do if the chef has not arrived?

Use the chef contact provided for your service and contact our team to check the plan. Arrival may sometimes be about 45 minutes before serving if that is enough for preparation. We will check whether the serving time is affected.

Link to this answer
Can I add a course or ask the chef to stay longer on the day?

Please arrange extra courses or service time beforehand so ingredients, availability and the price can be confirmed. Same-day additions may not be possible.

Your kitchen and property

Does my kitchen need to be clean, and when does the $50 cleaning fee apply?

Please have a reasonably clean, usable kitchen ready, without dirty dishes blocking sinks or counters or dirty pots needed for cooking. A $50 pre-cleaning fee applies each time the chef has to clean before starting a service. It does not make unsafe or unusable facilities suitable.

Link to this answer
What kitchen facilities do I need?

Ordinary cooked meals require a full, functioning kitchen and the electricity or gas needed by the stove and oven. A limited kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave and no oven is generally unsuitable for a multi-course meal. Simple cold or pre-prepared alternatives need individual approval. Tell us about any water, ventilation or equipment issues in advance. Hibachi has a separate site assessment; Floating Boards need no kitchen.

Link to this answer
Who provides cooking utensils, tableware, furniture and linens?

The chef generally brings cooking utensils. You normally provide plates, bowls, cutlery, serving utensils, glasses, napkins, linens, tables and chairs. Tableware, rentals and special table setup can be arranged in advance for a separate quoted price.

Link to this answer
What grill and fuel do I need for Barbecue Feast?

Please check that your property’s grill works and has enough gas or fuel. If there is no grill, tell us beforehand; the chef may be able to bring one by arrangement. Stove or oven cooking is an alternative only if you and the chef agree it suits the menu.

Link to this answer
Do I need to send kitchen photographs?

Ordinary chef services generally do not need property photographs or a fixed equipment checklist. Hibachi and unusual venues need the assigned chef’s assessment, so contact us about the setup before booking.

Link to this answer
What if essential kitchen equipment is missing or broken?

Tell us immediately so the chef can assess a safe workaround. If clearly agreed essential facilities are not provided, the accepted cancellation or no-show terms may apply. An unexpected breakdown or utility outage is assessed separately; a minor missing item does not automatically cancel your meal. If our team fails to provide the agreed service and nothing is delivered, you receive a full refund.

Link to this answer
Should I clear my fridge, freezer and counters before the chef arrives?

You do not normally need to empty them. The chef brings ingredients and manages their storage. Any special space needed for your menu, party size or leftovers will be agreed in advance. Please have the kitchen clean, access arranged, and the agreed tableware and seating ready.

Link to this answer
Do I have to stay at the property during preparation?

No, provided you arrange authorized access to the house and kitchen in advance and agree the serving plan. Share a key or temporary access code privately through the agreed contact route.

Link to this answer
Can guests, children or pets use the kitchen while the chef cooks?

The chef needs a clear working area. Please keep guests, children and animals away from food preparation and hot equipment. Discuss assistance-animal needs with us individually. A regular meal booking is not a hands-on cooking lesson.

Link to this answer
Can we dine outdoors?

Yes, if the chef approves a clean, stable setup with weather protection, lighting, safe access and suitable food-temperature control. We agree an indoor alternative beforehand. Barbecue needs a safe outdoor grill position; Hibachi has a separate site assessment. A grill is never moved indoors because of rain, and unsafe weather may require stopping or moving to the agreed safe alternative.

Link to this answer
What should we check before the chef leaves?

Check together that the cooking and serving areas are clean, property and borrowed items are returned, and leftovers and any equipment collection are explained. Raise anything that still needs attention. There is no cash meal balance due to the chef at departure; any added charge must have been agreed.

Choosing your meal

How do I choose a meal online?

Choose a menu, complete its dish selections and optional extras, then select “Plan this meal.” Review your date, party, accommodation, total and terms before submitting the availability request.

Link to this answer
Does everyone choose their own dishes?

The usual menu choices are for the whole party. Deluxe Dinner allows a different main protein for each guest by arrangement with our team; sides and other selections remain group choices. Dietary or allergy arrangements must be assessed and confirmed in advance.

Link to this answer
Can I combine two menus at one table?

Some combinations may be possible with a custom quote. Home Chef and Private Chef meals cannot simply be combined as two standard services at the same table. Contact us to agree a suitable plan.

Link to this answer
Can I add extra dishes, make substitutions or request something off-menu?

Ask in advance. The chef can assess extra dishes, ingredient swaps, local dishes or family recipes and confirm any price difference. Premium ingredients may cost more, and off-menu requests do not automatically keep the standard menu price.

Link to this answer
Are portions unlimited, and which meals are family-style?

Portions are planned for your declared party, including children; meals are not unlimited or all-you-can-eat. Classic Breakfast, Taco Night, Barbecue Feast, Breakfast Feast and Brunch are generally shared family-style. Chef’s Breakfast and the three- and four-course dinners are generally individually plated. Ask ahead for extra servings or a different arrangement.

Link to this answer
Can I skip a course for a lower price?

Skipping a course or eating only part of a menu does not automatically reduce the price. Ask us about a custom arrangement before booking; the menu minimum still applies.

Link to this answer
Can I request milder food or a particular steak doneness?

Yes. Include spice and steak-doneness preferences with your choices. Sauces may be served separately where the recipe permits. The chef confirms what is possible for the dish and its safe preparation.

Link to this answer
When should I finalize my dish choices?

Aim to finalize choices at least 72 hours before service. For a booking accepted inside that period, agree the menu when the booking is accepted. Later changes need the chef’s approval and any revised price confirmed with you.

Link to this answer
What if a confirmed dish or ingredient becomes unavailable?

We will tell you and propose an alternative, including any price difference. Substitutions need your agreement, particularly for allergies or premium ingredients. If you do not accept a changed menu that we cannot otherwise provide as agreed, you may cancel without penalty and receive the applicable full provider-cancellation refund.

Link to this answer
Can you supply local, organic, fresh-caught or premium ingredients?

Tell us the specific product you want. We will ask the chef to confirm sourcing, availability, specifications and any extra price before promising it. Halal and kosher requirements also need preparation and certification checks where relevant.

Prices and group sizes

What currency do you use, and are tax and service fee included?

Prices are in US dollars. Base menu prices exclude 7% tax and a 2% service fee. We add the combined 9% and round the final total to the nearest whole dollar: under 50 cents rounds down, and 50 cents or more rounds up.

Link to this answer
Do six-adult minimum-charge menus require six guests?

No. Smaller parties are welcome at the base minimum charge: Barbecue Feast $810, Bali Hibachi Night $900, Breakfast Feast $450, and Brunch $630, before 7% tax and 2% service fee. For example, two people can book Barbecue Feast for $883 after the combined surcharge and rounding, without extras.

Link to this answer
How are children priced and counted?

Use each child’s age on the service date. Ages 9 and above pay the adult rate; ages 4–8 pay the menu’s child rate and count as half an adult toward group pricing and minimums. Under-fours eat free on meal menus and do not count toward paying minimums. Include every child in your party details. Floating Boards use separate board-size pricing.

Link to this answer
How do Premium and Deluxe Dinner group rates work?

At six or more paying-adult equivalents, Premium is $125 per adult and $60 per child aged 4–8; below six, the rates are $185 and $90. Deluxe is $169/$80 at six or more, or $195/$95 below six. Both need at least two paying-adult equivalents. Five adults and two paying children qualify for the standard rate; Premium would be $745 before the surcharge, or $812 after rounding, without extras.

Link to this answer
Do extras count toward a minimum charge?

No. A minimum charge applies to the base adult and child meal prices. Upgrades and optional extras are added afterward.

Link to this answer
How are lobster, fish and menu upgrades priced?

A $35 lobster add-on buys one lobster tail; a $25 catch-of-the-day add-on buys one fish serving. Some breakfast and brunch dish upgrades are instead priced per adult or guest aged 9+, as marked in the menu. These are separate from quantity-based add-ons.

Link to this answer
Are tips included, and what is the 2% service fee?

The 2% service fee covers card and bank costs; it is not a tip. Tips are optional, appreciated, and paid directly to the staff in cash. The team keeps 100% of them.

Link to this answer
Are there additional charges or multi-meal discounts?

Travel is included throughout Aruba. Holiday surcharges, the $50 unready-kitchen fee, agreed rentals, special setup, extra staff or custom items may add to the price. Custom charges are quoted in advance. Discounts may be considered individually, but repeat visits and multiple meals do not automatically qualify.

Link to this answer
Can we split payments, pay early or use different cards?

Yes, by arrangement. Tell our team how you would like to split payment between guests, pay in full early, or use different cards for the deposit and balance. Split payments do not change the booking’s cancellation terms.

Link to this answer
Can I request an itemized invoice, receipt or refund confirmation?

Yes. Share the billing name and address needed for your invoice. We can email an itemized invoice, payment receipts and refund confirmation, including after the event. Refund confirmation reflects the actual refund status.

Link to this answer
Which menus have a minimum group size?

Taco Night, Classic Dinner, Premium Dinner and Deluxe Dinner need at least two paying-adult equivalents. One adult plus one child aged 4–8 totals 1.5 and does not qualify; one adult plus two paying children totals two and does. Classic Breakfast normally needs four equivalents per service. Chef’s Breakfast may be requested for one. Barbecue, Hibachi, Breakfast Feast and Brunch have minimum charges instead.

Link to this answer
Can children have a simpler meal or eat earlier?

Children normally receive child portions of the group’s dishes. A simpler meal, separate children’s menu or earlier serving may be requested in advance, subject to the chef’s confirmation and any agreed price.

Link to this answer
Can you cater for a large group, wedding or corporate event?

Yes. Private Chef teams can cater for large events, with staffing, equipment, facilities and price confirmed for the particular booking. Home Chef standard service is for up to ten guests; larger groups may be possible with separately quoted extra labor.

Link to this answer
Can a smaller group book Classic Breakfast for several mornings?

Yes, subject to chef acceptance. The usual minimum is four paying-adult equivalents per service, but two or three equivalents may book at least two Classic Breakfast services during the same stay. You pay actual adult and child portions at the published rates, plus tax and service fee, with no exception fee. Each date has its own cancellation calculation. Contact us to arrange it.

Link to this answer
Do you provide high chairs or baby food?

Please provide your own high chairs, booster seats, children’s tableware and baby food.

Link to this answer
Can a carer or support person attend without buying a meal?

Yes. Please tell us in advance so there is room for them to assist. A non-eating carer, interpreter or support worker is not served a meal, does not receive a guest place at the table, and does not count toward meal minimums. Anyone joining the meal is included at the applicable rate, except under-fours who eat free on meal menus.

Link to this answer
Can I reduce the guest count or extras after booking?

Request reductions more than 24 hours before service. They need chef approval, remain subject to the menu minimum, and may include item-specific commitments already disclosed and agreed. At 24 hours or less, there is no automatic price reduction. Reducing part of a booking is different from canceling the whole meal.

Link to this answer
Can I add guests or extras after choosing the menu?

Please tell us before service. The chef must confirm food, staffing and availability, and you must accept the revised total. An unannounced extra guest is not automatically included.

Link to this answer
What would Taco Night cost for two adults?

Without extras, the base price is $178. Adding 7% tax and 2% service fee and rounding gives $194. Nothing is charged when you request. Once availability is confirmed, a $97 deposit reserves the date and the remaining $97 is due 24 hours before service.

Dietary needs and food handling

Can I request vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free food?

Yes. Tell us your requirements when planning the meal. The chef will confirm suitable dishes, substitutions and any price difference. A request or menu label does not guarantee allergen-free preparation or that every menu is suitable.

Link to this answer
What allergy information should I provide?

Tell us the specific allergen, how many guests are affected, which meals it applies to, any cross-contact concerns, and the practical avoidance instructions. You do not need to send a medical history. The chef checks the actual recipes, sauces, garnishes and supplier ingredients before confirming a plan; please also recheck the details on arrival.

Link to this answer
Can you guarantee an allergen-free meal or event?

A shared villa kitchen is not an allergen-free environment. The chef assesses the ingredients, equipment, preparation and service for your specific needs. Careful separation and cleaning can reduce cross-contact risk but cannot eliminate it. We will explain what can and cannot be accommodated before you book. If the necessary controls cannot be met, we cannot provide the affected meal. Removing an ingredient or signing a waiver is not a substitute for that assessment.

Link to this answer
Does a gluten-free menu label mean a dish is suitable for celiac disease?

No. A dish made without gluten ingredients still needs a separate assessment for celiac disease, including sauces, oats, equipment and cross-contact. Please state your needs clearly in advance. The chef must confirm a suitable preparation plan and its limitations before we accept the meal.

Link to this answer
What if I mention an allergy only when the chef arrives?

Tell the chef immediately. Preparation or service of the affected food will pause while the chef checks whether a suitable alternative is possible. Ingredients may already be purchased or prepared, so we cannot guarantee that the guest can be served. Any payment adjustment is reviewed under the accepted booking terms.

Link to this answer
Can you cater for halal, kosher or no-pork requirements?

Please describe the exact requirements before booking. Ingredient preferences may be possible, but certified sourcing, utensils, preparation or supervision must be specifically confirmed. Kosher meat procurement may have an additional quoted fee. We do not assume that a menu name or ingredient substitution meets a certification requirement.

Link to this answer
Can the chef help with a medically directed diet or personal care?

Tell us the practical food instructions supplied by your clinician, such as ingredients to avoid or a required limit, so the chef can assess them. We cannot guarantee therapeutic suitability or accurate nutrient counts, and we do not provide medical advice, feeding assistance or personal care. If a required dietary limit cannot be met, we will explain that before booking.

Link to this answer
Can you adapt meals for pregnancy or a weakened immune system?

Tell us the food restrictions you need, without sharing a diagnosis. The chef can assess thoroughly cooked dishes, pasteurized dairy and juices, and alternatives to raw or higher-risk foods. Ingredients and handling must be agreed before acceptance. These adaptations are not a medical-suitability guarantee; follow your clinician’s advice about your individual needs.

Link to this answer
Can you accommodate sensory preferences or a prescribed food texture?

Milder flavors, sauces on the side, separated components and familiar foods can be requested in advance. For a swallowing difficulty or prescribed texture or fluid thickness, provide your clinician’s written requirements. The chef must confirm they can reliably meet them before accepting; we cannot improvise a medical texture plan.

Link to this answer
Is all food prepared at the property?

Most preparation is on site. Depending on the menu, slow-cooked dishes, dressings and some other items may be prepared beforehand and finished at your property. Prepared food is protected during transport, separated as needed, and kept under appropriate temperature control.

Link to this answer
Can we keep leftovers?

The chef will explain which food can be kept and provide suitable containers or agree yours in advance, with labels and storage instructions. Refrigerate promptly at 4°C or below. Food should be refrigerated within two hours of leaving temperature control, or within one hour when the temperature is above 32°C; food beyond those limits is discarded. Use refrigerated leftovers within three to four days, or sooner if advised, and reheat suitable dishes to 74°C throughout. Reheating does not make improperly stored food safe. Meals intentionally prepared for another day need a separate advance arrangement.

Can I bring my own food for a dietary need?

Yes, by advance arrangement. You may bring your own food and join the party, but the chef does not prepare or heat outside food. Meal participation and minimum charges are considered separately.

Drinks

Which drinks are included?

Classic Breakfast, Breakfast Feast and Brunch include coffee, tea and a choice of juice. Brunch also includes two mimosas per eligible person. The Couple Floating Board includes two mimosas total. Other menus include drinks only where listed or separately agreed. Refills are not unlimited.

Link to this answer
Can we bring our own drinks, and who supplies ice and glasses?

Yes, you are welcome to supply wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks. You normally provide ice, coolers, glasses and garnishes. Agree chilling and serving arrangements beforehand; any separately booked bartender service will specify its own inclusions.

Link to this answer
Can you arrange wine pairings or a bartender?

Yes, on request for an additional quote. We confirm drinks, quantities, staff, equipment and the service period in advance. These are not included in an ordinary meal by default.

Is the Hibachi welcome-cocktail package available?

The former $65 welcome-cocktail add-on is no longer offered. Bali Hibachi Night itself remains available to request.

Link to this answer
How much are Floating Board mimosas?

For boards other than the Couple board, $10 per participating eligible drinker buys two mimosas. Children and non-drinkers do not need to purchase them. The Couple board already includes two mimosas in total.

Link to this answer
Can I request a nonalcoholic replacement?

A nonalcoholic replacement may be arranged on request, subject to availability, without reducing the price. Please ask us to confirm the specific option.

Link to this answer
Can we keep unused drinks or receive a refund for them?

The chef will usually leave any remaining champagne brought for mimosas. Unused drinks do not automatically qualify for a refund, and included quantities do not mean unlimited refills.

Celebrations and extras

May we photograph the chef, and will staff photograph us?

You may photograph or film the chef or Hibachi experience; agree unusual or commercial requests with the provider first. Staff ask for your consent before photographing you or using your event in marketing. Booking a private photography session does not give marketing permission.

Link to this answer
Can you help arrange a birthday, proposal or surprise dinner?

Yes. Share your plans in advance so we can confirm the menu, timing, surprise arrangements and extras. Cakes, candles, flowers, table décor and personalized messages can be arranged with a separate confirmed price and details.

Link to this answer
Can I bring my own cake or dessert?

Yes. Please agree storage and serving arrangements beforehand. Replacing the menu dessert with your own does not automatically reduce the meal price.

Link to this answer
Can you coordinate entertainment, a photographer or another Aruba activity?

We can help arrange paid extras such as photographers, music and dancers, and coordinate meals with tours, transfers or spa appointments. Each service needs its own confirmed availability, inclusions, price and terms. A meal reservation does not automatically confirm another service or create a package discount.

Link to this answer
Can I book or pay for a meal as a gift for someone else?

Yes. Tell us who is paying, who will be the lead guest and service-day contact, and any surprise arrangements. We will agree the necessary authorizations and communications. Buying a meal does not automatically create a transferable voucher.

Link to this answer
What if an extra I booked cannot be provided?

For an extra booked and paid through Aruba Your Way, we will offer an agreed substitute with any price difference explained, or refund the undelivered component if you do not accept a replacement. If you booked and paid an outside supplier directly, that supplier’s terms apply.

Floating Boards and photography

What is a Floating Board, and how much does it cost?

A Floating Board is a delivered grazing spread to enjoy in your pool or on a table. It includes fruit; turnovers, pastechi and mini empanadas; deli meats, cheeses, crackers and bread; chicken or tuna salad; muffins and sweets; eggs; and yoghurt or hummus. Base prices are $150 for two, $180 for four, $240 for six, $280 for eight, $320 for ten, or $30 per person for 11–14 guests, plus 7% tax and 2% service fee. The Couple board includes two mimosas total. Confirm any dietary adaptations in advance.

Link to this answer
What does the $150 photography session include?

The approximately 30-minute session includes ten edited photographs, delivered by email in five to seven business days. Drone footage may be requested at the same price if flying is permitted and safe, but a drone flight is not guaranteed. The package remains a photography session when drone flying is unavailable.

Link to this answer
Do I need a pool or kitchen for a Floating Board?

No. It is delivered ready to enjoy at your property and can be served on a table. There are no pool dimensions or pool-photo requirements. Obtain permission for a shared pool. Many beaches are unsuitable for floating use because of waves; ask us about a calm-water location. Delivery does not include swimming supervision or a water-safety guarantee.

Link to this answer
Which board should I choose for an odd-sized group or children?

Choose a published size to suit your appetite and sharing plans; we can advise. Boards are priced by size, without the meal menus’ child discounts or adult-equivalent rules. You are not automatically charged a supplement or rounded up. A smaller board may suit some families who are happy to share, but it is not guaranteed to feed an extra adult.

Link to this answer
Can I order boards for more than 14 people?

Please contact us for a separately confirmed arrangement. Standard board capacity is about 12–14 people; multiple additional boards are not automatically available.

Link to this answer
What comes with the board, and when is it collected?

The provider supplies the board, glasses, trays, utensils and napkins. Reusable equipment is collected at an agreed time; a couple of hours is typical. Confirm any extension beforehand.

Link to this answer
Can a Floating Board be adapted for allergies or dietary needs?

Tell us before booking. The provider must assess the ingredients, substitutions, preparation and shared board before confirming a plan and any price difference. Removing an ingredient alone does not remove cross-contact risk. If the required controls cannot be met, we cannot provide the affected meal.

Link to this answer
What if rain or wind prevents us from using the pool?

You can enjoy the delivered board indoors or without a pool. Contact us in advance about rescheduling; another date depends on availability and your agreed terms. Poor pool weather alone does not automatically qualify for a refund.

Link to this answer
When can a Floating Board be delivered?

Delivery can be requested from 10am through 7pm, Aruba time, subject to availability. We confirm your actual delivery and collection arrangements for the booking.

Link to this answer
What consent is needed for photography of guests or children?

We agree permission, recipients and delivery arrangements before the session. A parent or guardian must authorize identifiable photos of a child, and no-photo requests are respected. Private-session permission is separate from optional marketing consent; marketing permission is not required to receive service. Contact the team with any privacy request.

Link to this answer
Do the usual payment and cancellation rules apply to boards and photography?

Yes, for boards and photography booked and paid through Aruba Your Way: a 50% deposit, balance 24 hours before service, and the same cancellation and date-change rules. Any exception must be itemized and agreed before payment. Components are priced separately, so an undelivered photo session can be handled separately from the board. Direct bookings with a photographer follow that provider’s terms.

Hibachi and premium upgrades

Does the Hibachi chef bring the grill?

Yes. Bali Hibachi Night is an outdoor live-cooking experience and the chef brings the grill. Please confirm the site setup separately; tables, chairs, shelter and other equipment are not automatically included.

Link to this answer
How do I request Wagyu or premium seafood?

Wagyu is quoted on request. Tell us the date, menu, party size, number of upgraded portions, preferred cut or species and portion size. We confirm the actual product, availability, quantity, price and quote expiry before you accept. Any replacement for an unavailable upgrade needs your agreement.

Link to this answer
Can Hibachi or another meal be quieter and less interactive?

Yes, you can request a quieter, meal-focused experience or cooking away from the guests. The chef must confirm the setup, timing and price. A quieter Hibachi request does not automatically change the price or permit indoor cooking.

Booking and payments

When is my booking confirmed, and when do I pay?

Submitting a request securely saves your card with Stripe and charges nothing. Once our team confirms availability, we automatically collect a 50% deposit to reserve your date and time. The remaining balance is collected 24 hours before service. If the deposit is still unpaid when both payments are due, the full agreed amount is due. No cash meal balance is due to the chef. For a $1,000 booking, that is $0 on request, then a $500 deposit and a $500 balance. Existing bookings keep their accepted agreement.

Link to this answer
Can I request a meal before I know my address?

Yes. Choose “I’ll share the address later.” Provide the final property name and address by the day before service, and aim to agree access about 48 hours ahead. For a short-notice booking, agree access when it is accepted. The property must still be suitable for your service.

Link to this answer
How should I enter an international phone number?

Choose United States, Canada or Aruba to supply the country code automatically, or use Rest of world for another calling code. Provide a number where you can be reached about your service.

Link to this answer
How old must the booker and service-day contact be?

Both the lead booker and the responsible person present for the service must be at least 18. The cardholder must authorize payment, and younger guests need the responsible adult at the service.

Link to this answer
Can I discuss my booking by phone or message first?

Yes. Call or message us to discuss your meal, then use the secure online request and payment route. Please never send full card details through email, messages or the contact form.

Link to this answer
What if I entered the wrong contact details or date?

You can update your name and phone number through My bookings. For an incorrect email address, contact our team so we can verify the correction. Request a date or time change through My bookings or our team; it takes effect only after the chef approves and you accept the revised arrangement.

Link to this answer
My card was saved, but I have no confirmation email. Is my date reserved?

A saved card does not confirm chef availability or successful deposit payment. Check spam, then contact us with your existing reference and contact details. Please do not submit a duplicate request. Your date is reserved once availability is confirmed and the 50% deposit is successfully collected.

Link to this answer
Can I view and manage my booking online?

Yes. Visit My bookings and enter the email used for your booking, then the six-digit code we send you. You can view your meals, dates, prices, payments and upcoming amounts; update your name or phone; request a change; review an approved offer; cancel; or securely update your card and resolve a payment when those actions are available. Chef approval is required for changes to your meal. Older bookings or details that cannot be changed online may need our team. No password is needed.

Link to this answer
What if I accidentally submitted the same meal twice?

Contact us with the request references so we can check whether a duplicate was created and review any payments. Please wait for our confirmation before submitting again.

Link to this answer
What name will appear on my card statement?

The card statement name is BRUMMELL AND FOGG LLC.

Link to this answer
Can the website see my full card number or security code?

Card details go directly to Stripe’s secure fields. Our website does not store the full card number or CVC; booking records use payment references and limited masked details. Never send card numbers or security codes in messages.

Link to this answer
Which cards do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. Please ask us before relying on another card, wallet or payment method.

Link to this answer
How long do I have to complete the deposit?

Your availability offer states its payment deadline; the date is not reserved until the deposit succeeds. If a deposit fails, we normally give 24 hours from the failure notice to complete payment securely. For an imminent service, we agree a feasible shorter deadline explicitly. Repeated failed attempts do not extend the deadline indefinitely.

Link to this answer
What if payment fails or my card has been replaced?

My bookings shows whether payment failed or needs bank authentication, and offers a secure recovery action when available. You can also securely update your saved card. Updating a card does not itself pay an outstanding amount. We do not automatically cancel your meal because a payment fails. Contact our team if you need help, and never send card details or authentication codes in messages.

Link to this answer
What payment is due for a booking accepted within 24 hours of service?

The full amount is due if our team accepts a booking less than 24 hours before service. These requests are considered individually and depend on availability.

Link to this answer
How are upgrades or added charges agreed?

We show you the revised meal and price for your approval before a change takes effect. The deposit stays at 50% of the revised total: if a $1,000 meal becomes $1,200 after a $500 deposit, another $100 deposit is due and the balance becomes $600. If both installments are already due, the outstanding agreed amount is due. If you have paid more than an approved lower total, we refund the excess in full without another processing-fee deduction.

Link to this answer
When will I receive a receipt, and what if I do not recognize a charge?

Receipts are sent within a few hours and no later than 24 hours after successful payment. Contact us about an unfamiliar or suspected duplicate charge with the reference and masked card details, never the full card number.

Cancellation and refunds

What is the cancellation policy?

For guest cancellations received at least seven days (168 hours) before the agreed serving time, 100% of the deposit is refundable before applicable Stripe processing fees. Inside seven days through exactly 48 hours, 25% of the deposit is refundable before those fees. Inside 48 hours, the deposit is not refundable. Any balance already paid is refunded in addition to the refundable deposit share, less applicable actual Stripe fees deducted once; an unpaid balance is not collected after cancellation. Deadlines use exact elapsed hours in Aruba time and when your written notice is received. Existing bookings follow their accepted agreement.

Link to this answer
Does the 24-hour balance deadline create another cancellation penalty?

No. Cancellation tiers change only at 168 hours and 48 hours. The 24-hour balance date is a payment deadline, and 72 hours is the separate date-change cutoff. For a $1,000 booking canceled exactly 24 hours ahead, the $500 deposit is retained. An unpaid $500 balance is not collected; if already paid, it is refunded less applicable actual Stripe fees.

Link to this answer
What if Aruba Your Way or the chef cannot provide my meal?

If we or our provider cannot deliver the agreed service, including a chef illness, emergency, vehicle problem or failure to arrive, you may accept an available alternative or receive all payments for the canceled, undelivered service back in full. We absorb Stripe processing fees. You do not have to accept a credit or a replacement time or menu.

Link to this answer
How do I cancel, and who may request it?

You can cancel through My bookings when the action is available, after reviewing the cancellation and refund details. Written notice by email, SMS or WhatsApp through the agreed business channel remains accepted. Either the lead guest or the recorded payer who paid the deposit may cancel after identity verification. Notice counts when it is received, including overnight, rather than when we read it. A payer’s cancellation right does not grant access to all guest information or other changes.

Link to this answer
Can I withdraw an unconfirmed request without a fee?

Yes, if the request is unconfirmed and no deposit has been collected. Withdraw it through My bookings or contact our team. If the first payment was still processing when you withdrew the unreserved request and succeeds afterward, we refund it in full and absorb its processing fee. A saved card alone does not create a cancellation charge.

Link to this answer
How and when will I receive a refund?

Eligible refunds go back to the original payment method. My bookings shows the recorded refund status; a pending refund is not yet a credit in your bank account. The credit typically appears about five to ten business days after initiation, depending on the bank. Contact us if it is delayed. Your issuer generally handles expired or replaced cards, and exchange rates or bank charges may affect your home-currency amount.

Link to this answer
Are processing fees deducted from refunds?

For guest cancellations, applicable actual Stripe fees are deducted from the refundable part of the same payment, once only. We never take one payer’s fee from another payer’s refund. If we or our provider cancel the undelivered service, you receive a full refund with no fee deduction. A balance or deposit top-up that succeeds only after cancellation is also refunded in full, as is a first payment completing after an unreserved request was withdrawn. Existing bookings follow their accepted agreement.

Link to this answer
How much is refunded on a $1,000 booking with a $500 deposit?

Before applicable actual Stripe fees, a deposit-only $1,000 booking receives $500 at least 168 hours ahead, $125 inside 168 hours through exactly 48 hours, or $0 inside 48 hours. If the full $1,000 was paid, the gross refunds are $1,000, $625 or $500 respectively. The paid balance is refundable, and an unpaid balance is not collected after cancellation. A balance or deposit top-up that was still processing at cancellation and succeeds afterward is refunded in full without a fee deduction.

Link to this answer
Are exceptions possible for illness or bereavement?

Please contact us. Illness, hospitalization, bereavement or personal travel disruption may be considered for an individual exception, but the usual terms are not automatically waived. Any exception must be confirmed with you.

Link to this answer
What if a flight cancellation, severe weather or evacuation affects my meal?

If your travel is disrupted while the service remains available, the guest cancellation terms apply unless an exception is agreed. If our provider cannot deliver, or an official order or evacuation prevents safe lawful access, you can receive a full refund or choose an agreed reschedule. A credit is not compulsory.

Link to this answer
What if I am absent or the chef cannot gain access?

We try to reach you and any authorized host. The standard safe waiting period is 30 minutes unless another arrangement is agreed, and we tell you the actual departure deadline. A verified no-show is handled under the accepted cancellation terms; it does not authorize collecting an unpaid balance after cancellation.

Link to this answer
Can I turn a canceled meal into a credit or transfer it to someone else?

A credit, voucher or transfer is not automatic. Contact us to discuss a separately agreed arrangement, subject to chef availability and any price difference.

Link to this answer
What if I cancel only one meal in a multi-day plan?

Each date is assessed separately using its allocated deposit, paid balance and accepted cancellation terms. Any discount or minimum that was explicitly conditional on multiple services is reviewed with you, including a smaller-group Classic Breakfast arrangement.

Link to this answer

Changes to your booking

Can I change the date or serving time?

Request changes more than 72 hours before service. They depend on availability and the chef’s approval. At exactly 72 hours or later, a change needs an individual exception, even for a 30-minute shift. Your original reservation stays in place until the change is explicitly confirmed.

Link to this answer
How do I request a change, and what if it is refused?

Request a change through My bookings, or contact us by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Our team checks with the chef, then you review and accept the approved revised arrangement and price. Until then, your original service remains in place and cancellation deadlines continue. If the change is refused, you can cancel under the terms for the still-confirmed service time.

Link to this answer
Is there a rescheduling fee?

There is no separate rescheduling fee. A different menu, holiday date or changed booking may alter the total, which we will quote for your agreement. All changes remain subject to availability and chef approval.

Link to this answer
Which cancellation deadline applies after a confirmed reschedule?

Once the new service time is confirmed in writing, it controls future cancellation calculations. A change does not reduce cancellation liability already applicable when you requested it; any retained minimum is stated and agreed in the change confirmation. Any waiver must be explicit.

Link to this answer
Can I change my menu or chef type after paying the deposit?

Yes, if the team and chef approve the new service, availability and revised price in writing. If an inside-24-hour change requires canceling and replacing the original meal, its cancellation policy applies; that does not make the whole booking price nonrefundable.

Link to this answer
Can I change the property after booking?

Yes, you can request a property or address change through My bookings or our team. The chef needs to check the new property’s permission, kitchen, access and timing before the change is agreed.

Contact and practical needs

How can I contact the team?

Use “Send us a message” on the website or contact +1 (305) 424-8326 (Phone / SMS / WhatsApp). Calls: 6am–4pm daily, Aruba time; SMS or WhatsApp anytime. We reply to website messages by email.

Link to this answer
What if I need urgent help after 4pm?

For a service-day issue, use the chef contact supplied before your meal and send our team an email, SMS or WhatsApp message through the agreed channel. There is no guaranteed overnight response. For an emergency, seek local emergency help immediately rather than waiting for our reply.

Link to this answer
When will I get the chef’s contact, and what if I have no mobile data?

A few days before service, we send the chef’s phone or WhatsApp contact and expected arrival time. For short-notice bookings, agree these with us when booking. Tell us if you cannot receive calls or data so we can arrange access and communication in advance; property Wi-Fi may help where available.

Link to this answer
Can you adapt serving arrangements for limited mobility?

We can work with you on the practical cooking and serving setup, such as table position or plated service instead of a buffet. You are responsible for checking that your accommodation is accessible for your needs; we do not assess or guarantee the property’s accessibility.

Link to this answer
Can I request a written menu or large-print information?

Yes. Request written menus, ingredient information or large-print instructions in advance. Allergy information must be checked by the chef against the actual dishes and preparation.

Link to this answer
Can children take part in Hibachi or the pool experience?

Children need adult supervision. Participation depends on the actual activity and setup; guests may decline interaction or enjoy the experience away from the water. Tell us practical needs beforehand so the provider can confirm suitability.

Link to this answer
Who decides if the setup is safe for service?

The assigned chef assesses the actual site, equipment and conditions. If something is unsafe, our team works with you on feasible alternatives and the outcome under your accepted terms. A waiver does not make an unsafe arrangement acceptable.

Link to this answer
What happens if the power or water fails?

Tell us immediately. The chef assesses whether safe service can continue or whether an alternative kitchen, menu, delay or reschedule is feasible and acceptable to you. If cooking has started, unsafe work stops and delivered and undelivered parts are assessed. Unexpected utility failure is not automatically a guest no-show. The cause and your accepted terms determine the outcome; no extra charge is automatic. If our provider fails to deliver the agreed service, the full-refund rule applies.

Link to this answer
What if my accommodation changes or I cannot enter the villa?

Contact us as soon as possible. Another suitable property, a different time or agreed food delivery may be possible if the chef can provide it safely. Permission, facilities, availability and any price difference must be confirmed. Delivery is not imposed as a substitute for your booked in-villa meal. If no alternative works, the cause and accepted booking terms determine the outcome.

Link to this answer
How should I report a missing item or problem with my meal?

Tell the chef and our team as soon as possible so we can investigate and help. Please describe what differed from your confirmed menu or service, including any missing item or safety concern.

Website and payment help

What should I do if the secure card fields do not load?

Allow them time to load and use the offered retry if needed. If they remain blank or unusable, contact us with your existing request reference. Please do not send card details in messages or disable browser security. Our team can arrange a secure payment invoice when appropriate.

Link to this answer
What should I do if submission is interrupted or I close the browser?

Keep any request reference and check or resume the same request rather than creating another. Contact us if you are unsure whether it was received. Closing the browser or editing menu choices does not cancel a submitted request; send change requests and written cancellation notices to our team. Changes take effect only when confirmed; cancellation deadlines use the time your notice is received.

Link to this answer
Does the site use cookies or remember my draft?

An essential session cookie protects the contact form, and browser storage supports interrupted request recovery. Ordinary unsent menu and contact drafts stay in page memory, but starting secure checkout creates request information needed to recover it. Hosting, email and Stripe process information needed to provide their services.

Optional Google Analytics helps us understand public visits and broad booking steps. It is on by default for visits identified as U.S. visits unless you have declined or your browser sends a privacy signal. In other countries, including Canada, and when location is unknown, it stays off until you allow it. You can turn it off or allow it in Cookie settings in our Privacy information. We do not send form entries, service choices, booking references, private links, or card details to Analytics, and advertising personalization is off.

What if my bank asks for authentication or blocks payment?

Complete your bank’s verification securely or contact the bank if you cannot. We never ask for passwords or one-time authentication codes. Contact our team before retrying if you are unsure about the payment’s status.

What if checkout shows a different price from my quote?

Pause and contact us with your intended choices and written quote. A paid deposit locks the agreed price for the unchanged booking. We will explain any correction or added item and obtain your agreement to an itemized revised total before collection.
